STRENGTH AND MOBILITY FOCUSED

REFORMER/BAND/RING COMBO

Setup: Lie on the Pilates Reformer carriage, feet placed on the footbar. Securely stand on the 90 or 150 lb resistance band (adjust based on strength), holding the handles at your shoulders. Place the Pilates Ring between your knees, just above the knee joint.

Execution: Simultaneously perform a leg press by pushing the footbar away with your legs, an overhead press by extending your arms fully with the resistance band, and squeeze the Pilates Ring between your knees. Control the movement as you return to the starting position, ensuring smooth coordination between all three actions.

Benefits: This compound exercise strengthens your quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings (leg press), shoulders (overhead press), and inner thighs (ring squeeze), while improving coordination, core stability, and overall power output.

BAND ROWS/REFORMER PLANK/BLOCK

Setup: Secure the 90 or 150 lb resistance band to a stable anchor point (e.g., door handle). Position yourself in a plank position on the Pilates Reformer carriage, hands gripping the carriage or push-up bars (if available). Attach the weighted wrist bands. Place the Pilates Foam Block under your forearms for added stability and support.

Execution: While maintaining a stable plank position with the support of the foam block, perform rows by pulling the resistance band handles towards your torso, squeezing your shoulder blades together. Focus on controlled movements, maintaining a straight line from head to heels, and engaging your core to prevent any sagging or arching of the back.

Benefits: Strengthens your back muscles (lats, rhomboids), enhances core stability (plank), improves upper body endurance with the added weight, and provides wrist support with the foam block.

REFORMER BRIDGES/ABDUCTION/RING

Setup: Lie on your back on the Pilates Reformer carriage, feet flat on the footbar. Secure the weighted ankle bands. Place the Pilates Ring on your hips, just below your waist.

Execution: Perform glute bridges by lifting your hips off the carriage, squeezing your glutes at the top. At the peak of the bridge, perform leg abductions (moving your legs outward against the resistance of the weighted bands), and simultaneously press the Pilates Ring into your hips. Return your legs to the starting position, lower your hips, and repeat.

Benefits: Strengthens glutes and hamstrings (bridges), improves hip abductor strength and stability (abductions), enhances core control with the ring on your hips, and increases overall hip mobility and stability.
