3-STEP POWER WORKOUT

STRENGTH AND MOBILITY FOCUSED

01. REFORMER LEG PRESS WITH BAND PRESS

Setup: Lie on your back on the Pilates Reformer carriage, placing your feet on the footbar. Securely stand on the 90 or 150 lb resistance band (adjust based on strength), holding the handles at your shoulders.

Execution: As you perform a leg press by pushing the footbar away with your legs, simultaneously press the resistance band handles overhead, extending your arms fully. Control the movement as you return to the starting position.

Benefits: This compound exercise strengthens your quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings (leg press), and shoulders (overhead press), while improving coordination and core stability.

02. CABLE ROWS WITH REFORMER PLANK

Setup: Secure the 90 or 150 lb resistance band to a stable anchor point (e.g., door handle). Position yourself in a plank position on the Pilates Reformer carriage, hands gripping the carriage or push-up bars (if available). Attach the weighted wrist bands.

Execution: While maintaining a stable plank position, perform rows by pulling the resistance band handles towards your torso, squeezing your shoulder blades together. Focus on controlled movements and maintaining a straight line from head to heels.

Benefits: Strengthens your back muscles (lats, rhomboids), enhances core stability (plank), and improves upper body endurance with the added weight.

03. REFORMER BRIDGE WITH ANKLE ABDUCTIONS

Setup: Lie on your back on the Reformer carriage, feet flat on the footbar, attach weighted ankle bands.

Execution: Perform glute bridges, lifting your hips off the carriage. At the top of the bridge, perform leg abductions (moving your legs outward against the resistance of the weighted bands) then return your legs to the starting position and lower your hips.

Benefits: Strengthens glutes and hamstrings (bridges), improves hip abductor strength and stability (abductions), and enhances core control.
